It's been a long winter so far, and we're only half way through. Most days are gray and rainy, and not much fun to go outside to play. During the weekend days, I've been looking for movies to watch that I feel good about sharing with Sara.

Of course, this means putting on some of my favorite Disney movies! I own a large collection of the animated classics, like Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, The Fox and the Hound, Aladdin, Cinderella, The Lion King, and Lady and The Tramp, just to name a few. I love everything about these movies, from the traditional animation to the fairy tale story lines. Sara has started to pay more attention to movies and television in general, as she is starting to understand her surroundings better, and her attention span grows.

I love having these films on in the background while she plays and we hang out together during the rainy days, and one day, we will be able to sit and have conversations about her favorites! I can't wait for that day! In the mean time, I've been working on a list of the movies I have, and the ones that I still need to get. I used to have them all on VHS, but of course now, I'm updating my entire collection to Blu Ray.

While the rain falls outside, we'll keep watching a few indoors each day that we spend together. Every one brings up a lot of happy childhood nostalgia, and I want Sara to grow up with fond memories of watching these classics with her mom too!
